Michael has been on the council since 2006 and has lived in the village since 1997. He is very interested in history, preserving historic parts of the village and creating new facilities for villagers.
Paul has lived in the village since 2005 and joined the Parish Council in February 2010. He is an active member of the Village Field Committee and is their Treasurer. He also assists annually in fund raising functions such as the Feast & Fayre and the Bonfire.
Kelvin has lived and worked in the village since 1988. He is keen to encourage greater community spirit and has organised a number of village fund raising events. Since joining the Parish Council in Feb 2010 he has compiled and edited the Newsletter and produces the PC web site.

Since 1989 when he moved to the village Ian would often be seen at council meetings keeping a critical eye on the proceedings. This led to his performing internal audits on the council. He joined the council in June 2016. He is particularly interested in the impact the A1 road has on the village.
John is also Chair of the Village Field committee and he liaises between the council and the village field committee. He has lived in the village since 1987 and has been a councillor for over 18 years, he is involved in organising village field events.
Fi is a self employed young mother with two young children who has lived in the parish for 4 years. She is keen to raise awareness of the council and what it does, to hopefully stimulate more involvement from all aspects of the community.
Vera has lived in Darrington since 1981 and helped organise the Feast & Fayre and bonfire for many years. For over 25 years she was involved with Darrington Village Pre-school and later became manager; since its closure, she has more time to dedicate to village matters.

Linda has lived in Darrington since 1983. A former PTA treasurer at Darrington School, she helped create the Darrington Beaver Colony and Darrington Playgroup . Linda has recently retired from Wakefield Council having worked in the Communities Directorate as an Administration Officer.
Andy has lived in the village for 25 years and has been on the council for since 2003. He is currently the leading light in the village Gardening Club and responsible for liaison with the school.
